Recently, it is reported that Slit2 inhibits macropinocytosis by inducing cytoskeletal changes in mice macrophages (30); and Slit2 has a role in regulating phenotypic plasticity of tumor-associated macrophages, in which Slit2 suppresses IL-6 production in the tumor microenvironment and then leads to activation of M1-like phagocytic and anti-fibrotic macrophages (31). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and neoplasm.
