Indicative of the importance of ABI2 in PCa metastasis, analysis of data from the National Center for Biotechnology Information Gene Expression Omnibus database (Bartha and Győrffy, 2021) showed that ABI2 expression is significantly higher in prostate tumors than in normal tissue and it is further upregulated in metastatic castrate-resistant PCa (Fig. 2 e). This evidence concerns the gene ABI2 and posterior cortical atrophy.
