KEAP1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma: Although there is currently no evidence that TRPA1 is directly involved in the process of Pancreatic cancer oxidative stress, there are data showing that NRF2, an oxidant defense transcription factor, directly controls the expression of TRPA1; more notably, the KEAP1-NRF2 pathway, which plays a central role in protecting cells from oxidative stress by inducing ROS-neutralizing gene expression, was shown to stimulate carcinogenesis and support tumor maintenance in Pancreatic cancer (Takahashi et al. 2018).
