Receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1), a type I transmembrane domain protein, binds the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) class B GPCR to form the Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor which is involved in the pathology of migraine (Russell et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene RAMP1 and migraine disorder.
