According to treatment guidelines63–65, potential medications include insulin sensitizers (i.e., metformin and thiazolidinediones), glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists, vitamin E, ursodeoxycholic acid, and omega-3 fatty acid, etc. Of these, only pioglitazone, semaglutide, and vitamin E could improve steatosis or NASH63–65.
