In WT mice, we found a strong IFN-I signaling and inflammatory response with IFNγ expression, infiltration of MØ, CD8+ T-cells and NK-cells, and activated microglia expressing Ccr1. In the absence of IFN-I signaling the cells are unable to respond to viral infection and only astrocytes showed limited IFN-independent response. Here, IFNA1 is linked to viral infectious disease.
