As seen in Table 3 and Figs. 7 and 8, most of these amino acids are also present in the protein-ligand interactions between geranyl acetate, α-terpinyl acetate, and cathepsin B. These suggest that both geranyl acetate and α-terpinyl acetate may be possible candidates as inhibitors for further experimental testing against cathepsin B in the context of COVID-19.
