HLA-C and metastatic melanoma: These data suggest that TCR-based ACT may still be effective in heavily pretreated metastatic melanoma patients and complete responders may benefit long term, results that are very comparable to what has been reported for CR patients upon TIL therapy.26 This is very promising as targeting a single peptide-MHC complex instead of multiple antigens (TIL) can induce long-lasting complete remissions, apparently without immune escape.
