PAPPA and preeclampsia: While numbers-needed-to-deliver were a third to a half lower when preeclampsia screening was done by the competing-risks model, there was little difference between use of PlGF (numbers-needed-to-deliver of 11.1–18.9) or PAPP-A (numbers-needed-to-deliver of 11.5–18.0) and each prevented at most 36% of term preeclampsia.
