Nordström et al. (72) reported that in a cohort of 11 neurosarcoidosis patients and 55 patients with other neurological disease including 6 with MS, an elevated CSF CD4/CD8 T cell ratio ≥5 alone was not adequate for diagnosing neurosarcoidosis (positive predictive value 40%, negative predictive value 88%). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
