Given that TDZD-8 can reverse cardiac hypertrophy and subsequent dysfunction after TAC4W (Figures 4–6), the change in GSK-3β activity by its O-GlcNAcylation could be strongly involved in the cardiac hypertrophy and dysfunction, although it is conceivable that there are other cardiac hypertrophy-related regulators that can be activated by O-GlcNAcylation. This evidence concerns the gene GSK3B and cardiac hypertrophy.
