It has been proposed that small amounts of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) are synthesized and secreted by the liver in response to decreased levels of carbohydrate-responsive element-binding protein and sterol regulatory element-binding protein due to hypoglycemia, which in turn downregulates CETP expression, thereby facilitating triacylglycerols depletion from cholesteryl esters and its enrichment with HDL (46). Here, CNBP is linked to Hypoglycemia.
