Among the AD samples, VDAC1 showed the highest diagnostic value (AUC = 0.8300), and the areas under the curve of the other three genes were as follows: OPTN (AUC = 0.726), PTGS2 (AUC = 0.742), and TOMM20 (AUC = 0.784) (Figure 7B), suggesting that these four genes have the potential to be diagnostic biomarkers of AD. This evidence concerns the gene OPTN and Alzheimer disease.
