In a dietary intervention among 31 patients with T2DM, a 6-week daily intake of 500 mg of hesperetin significantly decreased the systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), levels of inflammatory markers including TNF-α, IL-6 and high sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) and increased the serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC). Here, CRP is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
