TP53 mutations are critically involved in tumor progression and indicate poor prognosis in DLBCL.20–22 Despite diversity in gene mutations correlated with TP53 mutations among the studied cohorts, we showed similar alterations of response to interferon-γ and T cell activation, indicative of an essential role of TP53 mutations on immune evasion.23 Accordingly, gene expression pattern confirmed dysregulation of p53 signaling and deficiency of anti-tumor immunity. The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
