As one component of the actomyosin contractile apparatus, myosin light chain 9 (MYL9) regulates muscle contraction, ECM stiffness, cell shape establishment, and migration through binding to actin filaments to control cytoskeletal dynamics [13], which has been widely identified as a promoter in tumor metastasis in pan-cancer, including CRC [14–17]. This evidence concerns the gene MYL9 and colorectal carcinoma.
