VEGF-A in platelets has been shown as potential predictors of the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma [16] or the prognosis in Kawasaki syndrome [17], however, the evaluation of VEGF-A level in platelets, especially VEGF-A121 and VEGF-A165, in healthy individuals has not been addressed yet. Here, VEGFA is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
