Ahn et al., reported that the levels of seven proteins (CST3, GPX3, CFD, MRC1, COMP, PON1, and ADAMDEC1) were altered in plasma samples of patients with CRC stage I-IV in comparison to those of healthy controls using affinity chromatography (e.g. MARS-14) and Sequential Window Acquisition of All Theoretical Mass Spectra (SWATH-MS) [6]. This evidence concerns the gene MRC1 and colorectal carcinoma.
