We found that the SOX9 gene was highly expressed in COAD, ESCA, CESC, GBM, KIRP, LGG, LIHC, LUSC, OV, PAAD, READ, STAD, THYM, UCES, and UCS, and lowly expressed in SKCM and TGCT, suggesting that SOX9 may be a pro-oncogene in most cancer types. The gene discussed is SOX9; the disease is cancer.
