Compared with the nonsarcopenia group, serum albumin levels were significantly lower (4.3 ± 0.3 vs. 4.4 ± 0.3, p = 0.015) and serum TNF-α levels were significantly higher (1.97 ± 0.77 vs. 1.61 ± 0.64, p = 0.008) in the sarcopenia group. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and sarcopenia.
