SILAC labelling and quantitative proteomics of hippocampal tissue revealed that post-hypoglycaemic hyperglycaemia in STZ-diabetic mice resulted in an increased expression of several mitochondrial proteins involved in long-chain lipid-oxidation (hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase trifunctional multienzyme complex subunit α and β [HADHA and HADHB]), lipid transfer (sterol carrier protein 2 [SCP2]) and β-oxidation (ACADL). This evidence concerns the gene HADHA and Hyperglycemia.
