Theuse of integrated computational approach allows for identificationof novel molecules for two-photon imaging of amyloid and tau fibrils. This can contribute to the validation of promising compounds for thetwo-photon imaging studies of amyloids, which are one of the causativefactors responsible for Alzheimer’s disease, as this techniquefacilitates the temporal and spatial estimation of amyloids in thebrain of living animal (a mouse in particular) models. The gene discussed is MAPT; the disease is amyloidosis.
