Biopsy of eyelid and tongue lesions confirmed that these were mucosal neuromas, and subsequent genetic testing confirmed the diagnosis of multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2B (MEN2B) identifying de novo point mutations in the RET proto‐oncogene (M918T, G691S, S904S) (Figure 3). The gene discussed is RET; the disease is multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
