Consistent with pre-patent infection (Fig. 1), a significant increase in sputum CD14-CD16- cDCs, and a strong trend (p = 0.056) for an increase in CD1c+ cDC2s, the dominant subset of sputum CD14-CD16− cDCs, was associated with human patent infection (Fig. 2D).
