In contrast, other types of cancers, such as glioma, uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma, and especially pankidney cancer, had much greater SAMHD1 mRNA levels in tumor tissues than in nontumor tissues (Fig. 1a), indicating that SAMHD1 serves as a tumor suppressor or oncogene depending on the type of cancer. This evidence concerns the gene SAMHD1 and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma.
