Intravitreal injections are the mainstay therapy for neovascular age-related maculardegeneration (nAMD),1,2diabetic macular edema (DME),3, –5 and retinal vein occlusion(RVO) with macular edema.6,7Several pivotal clinical trials have shown the effectiveness of frequentantivascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections in improving andmaintaining visual acuity (VA) in patients with these diseases.
