Most common DM-associated MSA, which are detected in a range of 60 to 80% of patients, are directed against nuclear helicase (anti-Mi-2), type 5 protein associated with melanoma (anti-MDA-5), nuclear matrix protein 2 (anti-NXP-2), transcriptional intermediary factor 1 γ (anti-TIF-1γ), and small ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme (anti-SAE-1/2). Here, TRIM33 is linked to dermatomyositis.
