Higher concentrations of IgE (Figure 3B), metalloproteases (MMP1 and MMP2, Figure 3C), various cytokines (IFNβ, IFNγ, IL-10, IL-16, IL-26, IL-32 and pentraxine-3, Figure 3D) and chemokines [mostly eotaxins CCL24 and CCL26, and CCL1, CCL13, CCL22, CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL6, CXCL12 (Figure 3E)] were also found in biopsies from EoE patients than in CT subjects.
