IL2 and lung adenocarcinoma: We have previously developed a protocol to efficiently expand γδ T cells from peripheral blood to purities up to 95–99% with tetrakis-pivaloyloxymethyl 2-(thiazole-2-ylamino) ethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonate (PTA) and interleukin-2 (IL-2), and demonstrated that γδ T cells exhibited cytotoxicity against lung adenocarcinoma cells, strongly suggesting that γδ T cells might be utilized for adoptive immunotherapy for MPM (10).
