At 2020, the combination of atezolizumab (antibodies targeting programmed cell death ligand 1 [PD-L1]) plus bevacizumab (antibodies targeting vascular endothelial growth factor [VEGF]) (Atez/Bev) was shown in global phase III trial (IMbrave 150) to significantly prolong overall survival (OS) compared to sorafenib alone in the treatment of patients with advanced HCC who did not have any previous history of systemic therapy.
