Post-stroke immune response has recently emerged as a breakthrough target for ischemic stroke therapeutic strategies.[32,33] Previous studies have found that the inflammatory factors IL-6 and IL-1β are strongly associated with the prognosis of ischemic stroke patients.[34,35] In addition, NLRP1 plays a role in various diseases by producing the inflammatory factors IL-6 and IL-1β.[36] More recent studies have focused on the inflammation-inducing role of NLRP1 in various diseases and its association with patient prognosis. The gene discussed is NLRP1; the disease is stroke disorder.
