Exosome transfer of miR-25-3p regulates glioblastoma (GBM) cell proliferation and Temozolomide (TMZ) resistance by inhibiting FBXW7 and subsequently promoting the expression of oncoproteins such as c-MYC and Cyclin E. Overexpression of miR-25-3p significantly inhibits wild type FBXW7, while knockdown of miR-25-3p significantly increases wild type FBXW7 in GBM cells. The gene discussed is MYC; the disease is glioblastoma.
