Both anti-TNF and CsA agents reduced the levels of IFN-c, IL-17A, IL-23p19, and (C–C motif) chemokine ligand 20 in psoriasis lesions, indicating that pro-inflammatory cytokines, particularly IL-17A, are involved in the development of psoriasis (Ghoreschi et al. 2010). The gene discussed is IL23A; the disease is psoriasis.
