In this study, we analyzed the clinical significance of LOXL2 in esophageal squamous carcinoma through clinicopathological data, applied high-throughput sequencing to screen LOXL2 and the PI3K/AKT pathway, and explored the effect of altered LOXL2 gene expression on the biological characteristics of ESCC cells through in vitro cell experiments. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
