Adults with type 1 diabetes reported slightly more optimal medication intake and fewer perceived barriers (i.e. lower total score ASK-12) than adults with non-insulin-treated type 2 diabetes (mean score: 21.2 ± 5.6 vs. 22.0 ± 6.0 respectively, p=0.005, Cohen’s d=0.14).
