LAG3 and hepatocellular carcinoma: But the expression of its ligand FGL1 in hepatocellular liver cancer is controversial: a study in 2022 at Zhejiang Provincial People’s Hospital showed low expression of FGL1 in hepatocellular carcinoma, but high expression of FGL1 in hepatocellular carcinoma was reported in 2020 at Zhongshan Hospital (36), and in the same year a study from Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities reported that oxytocin could inhibit the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma by reducing FGL1 and sensitizing anti-LAG3 treatment and inhibiting hepatocellular carcinoma growth (37).
