CLEC4G and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease: Several of these 41 genes have been previously reported to be associated with Alzheimer’s Disease: overexpression of ANGPT1* has been found to increase amyloid beta secretion (73) whilst CLEC4G suppresses amyloid beta (74), and increased levels of ENC1 (75, 76) and NPTX2 (77, 78, 79, 80) are consistently demonstrated to have protective effects against cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease.
