IL1RN and viral infectious disease: PG2 not only acts as a fusion inhibitor of viral infection in the host cells but also has the potential to inhibit viral replication by inducing let-7a, miR-148b, and miR-146a miRNA expression, stimulating M2 macrophage differentiation and triggering the secretion of anti-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-10 and IL-1RN.
