More importantly, the MWM study showed that the protective effect of JNK‐IN‐8 on cognitive impairment was blocked by the NLRP3 activator nigericin, suggesting that JNK‐IN‐8 treatment improved ARDS‐induced cognitive impairment by suppressing the JNK/NF‐κB‐mediated NLRP3 inflammasome. The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is acute respiratory distress syndrome.
