IL2 and chronic rhinosinusitis without nasal polyps: Traditionally, CRSsNP is associated with fibrosis and T helper type 1 (Th1) inflammation, which is characterized by the presence of neutrophils, type 1 cytokines such as interleukin-2 (IL-2), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ), whereas Th2 inflammation, with eosinophils (Eos) and type 2 cytokines, such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13, is present in CRSwNP [4].
