High expression of INHBA in ovarian cancer tissues is associated with an increased risk of death from high-grade serous ovarian cancer, knockout of the INHBA gene reduces the activation of ovarian cancer stromal fibroblasts and inhibits the growth of tumor cells, and upregulation of the INHBA gene induces stromal fibroblast activation to support tumorigenesis [6]. This evidence concerns the gene INHBA and ovarian carcinoma.
