Of interest could be reactions, such as increased midazolam toxicity in combination with fluconazole, nephrotoxic synergism between furosemide and aminoglycosides, possible life-threatening hypoglycemia after fluoroquinolone and insulin combination, prolonged muscle weakness including myopathy, and/or paralysis after the combination of neuromuscular blocking agents and high doses of corticosteroids, but the examples are much more numerous [45,46]. The gene discussed is INS; the disease is myopathy.
