CRP and temporal arteritis: Among those with an elevated platelet count and an elevated CRP (n = 18), an elevated ESR was not significantly associated with a diagnosis of GCA (standard reference: OR 2.45; 95% CI: 0.04 to 139.96; p = 0.7; age-adjusted reference: OR: 2.39; 95% CI: 0.10 to 58.78; p = 0.6).
