CRP and temporal arteritis: Among those with a normal platelet count and an elevated CRP (n = 39), an elevated ESR was not significantly associated with a later diagnosis of GCA (standard reference: OR: 2.13; 95% CI: 0.34 to 13.24; p = 0.4; age-adjusted reference: OR: 1.13; 95% CI: 0.32 to 3.99; p = 0.9).
