GPT and hepatocellular carcinoma: In our univariate analysis, alcohol drinking habits (p = 0.015), HBV (p= 0.009), HCV (p = 0.001), Child–Pugh class B (p < 0.001), AST level > 40 U/L (p = 0.0038, ALT level > 40 U/L (p < 0.0001), total bilirubin (p= 0.0234), ALP (p = 0.0164), a pretreatment platelet count < 14 × 104/μL (p < 0.0001), prolonged PT (p = 0.0186), the number of tumors (p = 0.0097), nucleoside analogue (NUC) (p= 0.0008), and nucleoside analogue (NUC) or interferon therapy (p = 0.0003), were significant risk factors associated with HCC recurrence (Table 2).
