As also shown in Figure 4, there was a significant indirect association between the levels of IL-8 and TGF-β and the percentage of patients expressing high vs. low frequencies of HER-2/neu(780–788)-specific CD8+ T lymphocytes: 23 out of 32 PCa patients with high frequencies (72%) had lower levels of either one of these cytokines in the peripheral blood (Figure 4a,b). The gene discussed is CXCL8; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
