Autophagy is considered a promising target to counteract GBM progression and, interestingly, is regulated by both HDAC6 and Hh. Therefore, we evaluated the effect of TubA and cyclo on this pathway by assessing the expression of the autophagic marker LC3-II, the phosphatidylethanolamine-conjugated form of the cytosolic LC3-I, that indicates the formation of the autophagosome [28]. The gene discussed is DNMBP; the disease is glioblastoma.
