The expression of Trem2 was found to be increased in mice with myocardial infarction, and it was observed that Trem2 may activate the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. In Trem2-transfected mice, reduced injury, smaller infarct size, and fewer apoptotic cells were observed, as well as better echocardiographic function. This evidence concerns the gene TREM2 and myocardial infarction.
