Previous studies have found PIM1 overexpression in solid cancers, particularly in colorectal cancer [19], prostate cancer [20], breast cancer [21], glioblastoma [22], and lung cancer [23] by directly regulating the activities of various proteins involved in cell proliferation, cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, cell autophagy, migration, invasion, and drug resistance [24].
