Interestingly, when MYCN is high, the simple downregulation of RB1 is ineffective on cell growth (Figure 4 panels B,C) or on reduction of cancer aggressiveness as implied by the Kaplan Meier graphs in which it is shown that E2F3 and MYCN expressions are strong prognostic markers of clinical outcome independently of RB1. This evidence concerns the gene MYCN and cancer.
