Since PEL24-199 was shown previously to diminish the astrogliosis in a mouse model of Tauopathy [35], we used glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) immunofluorescence staining to determine the effect of PEL24-199 treatment on the astrocytic activation co-occurring with the amyloid pathology in the APP/PS1 animals (Figure 3A). The gene discussed is GFAP; the disease is tauopathy.
